Vin Diesel, whose real name is Mark Sinclair, is an American actor, director, screenwriter and producer. He was born on July 18, 1967, in Alameda County, California, United States, writes Nancy Krulik.
Diesel grew up in New York City with his twin brother Paul. The upbringing of children was taken care of by his mother Delora Sherlyn Sinclair, an astrologer by profession, and stepfather Irving Vincent, an acting teacher and theater manager.
To test his creative abilities Diesel decided not with the easy hand of his stepfather. At the age of 7, walking around the neighborhood with friends, Vin wanted to sneak into the local theater to play with props.
The boys were spotted, but instead of calling the police, the director decided to give the boys a chance. He offered to read out the script to the boys role by role. The best came out of Diesel, so the director offered him to take part in the performances for a small cash reward. The first performance was called “The Door for the Dinosaur.” Theater so impressed the child that he decided to connect his life with the acting profession.
Vin studied English language and literature at Hunter College, learned to write scripts, in parallel worked as a bouncer in a nightclub. In 1987, Diesel dropped out of college and went to conquer Los Angeles.
The first episodic role in the movie Vin received in 1990 in the movie Penny Marshall “Awakening”. Then Diesel caught fire with the idea of shooting his own picture.
